1. Acceptance

By using Memo you accept these terms. If you disagree, do not use the service.

2. Account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials.

3. Subscriptions

Memo offers a free plan (Free) and paid plans (Basic, Plus). Subscriptions are billed via the App Store or Google Play and renew automatically unless cancelled. New subscribers may take advantage of a promotional first-month price (€1.99 for Basic, €4.99 for Plus); from the second month onward the standard price of the selected plan applies.

4. User-generated content

The decks and flashcards you create remain yours. You grant us a limited licence to store, sync, and serve them as part of the service.

5. Acceptable use

Memo may not be used for illegal, hateful, pornographic or rights-infringing content. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate this.

6. AI Studio

AI-generated flashcards are a study aid, not a source of truth. Always verify content before using it for exams or important decisions.

7. Limitation of liability

Memo is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, Memo is not liable for indirect damages, data loss, or academic outcomes.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. We will notify you by email or in-app at least 30 days before substantive changes.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Italian law. For disputes involving users who qualify as consumers, jurisdiction lies non-derogably with the courts of the consumer's place of residence or domicile, pursuant to Article 66-bis of the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005), reflecting the protection afforded by EU consumer law. For non-consumer users, the exclusive venue is Rome.

10. Digital Services Act (Reg. EU 2022/2065)

Pursuant to the Digital Services Act, MemoFlash designates the following electronic points of contact:

• Competent authorities and the Commission (Art. 11): [email protected] — accepted languages: Italian, English.
• Recipients of the service (Art. 12): [email protected].
• Reporting allegedly illegal content in shared decks (Art. 16 — notice and action mechanism): [email protected]. Notices must provide a sufficiently substantiated explanation of the reasons the content is considered illegal, its location (e.g. the shared-deck link) and the contact details of the notifier.

In accordance with Art. 17 DSA, whenever we restrict the visibility of, suspend or remove content or an account for breach of law or of these terms, we provide — where technically feasible — a clear statement of reasons to the affected recipient of the service, including the legal or contractual ground applied and the redress options available.

11. AI transparency (Reg. EU 2024/1689 — AI Act)

MemoFlash's automatic flashcard generation feature relies on generative AI models provided by Google (Gemini 2.5 Flash). Google is the provider of the AI system under the AI Act; MemoFlash acts as downstream deployer.

• Flashcards produced wholly or partially by AI are labelled in-app as "AI-generated" so that you can clearly distinguish them from manually authored content (Art. 50 AI Act — transparency obligation on synthetic content).
• AI-generated flashcards are a study aid: they may contain errors, inaccuracies or "hallucinations" typical of generative models. Always verify the content before using it for exams or important decisions.
• You can disable the AI feature at any time from Profile → Consents: MemoFlash will remain fully usable for manual flashcard creation and study.
• We do not profile minors and we do not use AI for automated decision-making that produces legal effects or similarly significant effects on the user (Art. 22 GDPR).
